I'm a wedding photographer based in Ottawa Ontario, but travels worldwide. My photography approach is intentional, honest and editorial. An organic approach to capture fleeting moments. This blog lives to inspire your wedding photos and provide you planning tips.
The most beautiful thing about being a photographer is seeing my couple’s family grow. I was so excited when Katie reached out to me on Instagram to plan their fall family photos. Back in 2020, I photographed Katie’s maternity session. It was pretty crazy because a couple of weeks after the maternity session, Katie gave birth, and we just barely made it in time, wild!
It’s incredible getting to meet Jackson outside of the womb, he has such a bubbly personality. A little bit shy at first but he eventually warmed up to me and started chasing squirrels.
HOT TIP: when you are planning your fall family photos make sure to bring some bribes. Sometimes a good bribe for your kid does wonders! It can be a few toys to get your baby’s attention, your kid’s favourite snacks or planning a fun activity afterwards that they can look forward to.
When booking your Family Photos make sure to allocate enough time. It might seem excessive to book an hour to an hour enough, but you have to consider your kid getting used to the photographer, feeding, for any temper tantrum that might occur or changing your baby’s diaper.
By allowing enough time for your session, your photographer can document your family more authentically.
Albert + Katie
As a photographer, I value documenting the big moments but more importantly the more mundane one that seems insignificant but they turned out to be the most precious photos. I’m a huge family person and it fills me with so much joy to deliver photos that I know they will cherish in the future.
