I'm a wedding photographer based in Ottawa Ontario, but travels worldwide. My photography approach is intentional, honest and editorial. An organic approach to capture fleeting moments. This blog lives to inspire your wedding photos and provide you planning tips.
I am a sucker for a good love story. I mean why else do I enjoy watching endless romantic comedy-drama? just to feel sad about the lack of romance in my life… I think not…
So when I meet a couple that has the same passion for each other and a story that is worth making a movie based out of their story I knew I had to share it with you. Buckle your seat because you are in for a real treat.
How did you two meet?
“We met by complete accident – one night while out with friends we met laughing over some cheap beer and haven’t stopped laughing since (started drinking some better beer)
Almost instantly he felt like home – we would spend hours on end talking and it felt like we’d be friends forever. I knew I would marry him about two weeks in…. insane.
Two years later, while in the Rockies where my parents met, Matt got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! The mountains are so special to me (Especially Jasper) so it meant the world that he surprised me in such a special place.
We’re really laid back, we have a french bulldog pup so we go on walks, play cribbage, play sports together. He’s really my best friend.
Matt is the kind of person that makes me forget about vacations and holidays, I don’t feel like I need to run away from everyday life because every day with him is the best. I just feel so lucky that I get to spend the rest of my life loving him :)” Olivia
Olivia and Matt’s Engagement Session at Gatineau Park, Quebec
I strongly believe that your engagement session is just a great way to dress up and plan an epic date with your boo. It doesn’t have to be something elaborate, My goal is to capture your love and excitement for the new journey that you are about to embark in, aka your getting married baby.
Wedding Tip: If you two are uncomfortable in front of the camera, add an engagement session into your package. By doing this you get familiar with your photographer and hopefully by the end of it gain newfound confidence in yourself. Not to mention a new profile pic to make everyone jealous.
Sometimes a cider is all you need to remove some nerves during or before your engagement.
