I'm a wedding photographer based in Ottawa Ontario, but travels worldwide. My photography approach is intentional, honest and editorial. An organic approach to capture fleeting moments. This blog lives to inspire your wedding photos and provide you planning tips.
Nestled in the heart of the historic village of Merrickville, Ontario is a gorgeous new wedding and event venue. The Knox is a former Presbyterian church that was built back in 1861. Restored to its now elegant and sophisticated vibe, it mixes old with the new and provides a great indoor and outdoor space to host your intimate wedding in Ottawa.
It’s always a pleasure to team up with Pop-up Chapel, yet again. They provide a unique wedding experience for a couple that wants to have an intimate wedding (up to 20 guests) without all the hustle and bustle of planning. They take care of everything from venue, decor, florist, officiant, and live music. To top it off they donate a minimum of $300 to their paired charity.
The Knox Wedding & Event Venue is a converted chapel in a historic area of Ottawa, Ontario.
For the Knox wedding, the pop-up chapel paired with The Leeds & Greenville Interval House provides emergency shelter and advocates for abused women and their children. It’s always great to give back.
A great way to give back during your wedding? Skip the wedding favours! You can make a contribution to the charity of your choice instead.
The Knox wedding ceremony was elegantly decorated with red roses as an accent colour. Ashley walked down the aisle with live music playing on the Harp. They exchange personal vows, that made everyone tear up. Everyone enjoyed the cocktail hour with drinks and snacks. For Ashley and Travis’s portrait, we walked down Merrickville village’s main road, filled with charming restaurants and boutiques towards the canal.
