The non refundable retainer fee ($1000) is paid at the time of booking to reserve your wedding date. The remaining balance is split into two equal payments: one 4 months before the wedding, and the other 1 month before. For payment methods, I accept e-transfers, direct deposit bank transfers, or credit cards.
As I mentioned above, there is a non-refundable down-payment (retainer) for elopements and intimate weddings to reserve your date. The remaining payments are due mid way through and 1 month prior to your wedding date! If the final payment is not received at this time, a 10% penalty per day will incur on the outstanding balance. There are no refunds on any packages unless otherwise stated in the contract.

To book me as your wedding photographer and secure your date, there are two things I will need from you: a $1000 (non-refundable) retainer fee and a signed wedding contract. My approach to directing couples is to give you actions & things to DO that keep you moving, rather than standing still (awkwardly) staring at my camera and feeling weird.

Absolutely! I recommend ordering your prints directly through your Gallery to have the highest quality of professional prints. After all, you’ll likely spend thousands of dollars on your wedding images, so when you print them they deserve to be perfect!
You are able to take your images elsewhere (like Costco, Shutterfly, etc) but I guarantee that you will notice a difference in color, quality, and sharpness. As for albums, you can order them directly through me! Click here to read all about the design process and all your options for customization.
In my packages, engagement shoots is an add-on, however it is a discounted price for couples are booking me as their wedding photographer. I’ve found that couples value and want different things.

Average investment into a wedding collection is around $5000. Hours of coverage, distance, rentals, and a few other things are brought into account when calculating your final cost.
Photography is an investment, and I realize it can be a costly one, but believe me, it’ll be so worth it when you can look back on these photos decades from now when these memories have faded from your mind. You’ll never regret having great wedding photos.
Most of the weddings I capture are either 8 or 10 hours day. I offer full day coverage (8 to 10hours) and partial day coverage (6 hours).
You might want a partial day coverage if, you don’t have a wedding party, you don’t want getting ready photos or you don’t require photographic coverage over dinner and into the evening.
The most popular package is 8hours coverage, its typically enough to cover a full day, starting with getting ready and ending 30minutes into dancing. As long as everything is happening in the same place and no transportation is involved, you get the full day captured.
You might want 10 hour coverage if you want everything captured! Especially if there is travel between locations on your wedding day. You require extra time for a big wedding party or family photos or you don’t want to worry about your wedding day being rushed.
Every wedding day is different and I’m always happy to help you figure out how much coverage you need for a wedding day coverage.
I strongly believe in promoting body positivity and self-love within my work and my life in general. The only thing I will get rid of are minor temporary blemishes (things like acne, scratches + scraps or bruises).
Not a single photo leaves my computer without being fully edited to the extent that you see on my website. This includes tone and white balance adjustment, exposure adjustment, cropping and straightening the images, black and white conversion (when appropriate) and sharpening.
*Please note that the retouching process does not include things such* altering, sculpting or any traits that make you, you. *as well as removing braces, tan lines, removing stuff in the background, adding or removing people from a photo, changing the colour of a dress, blemish removal on specific guests, replacing faces, etc.. and that there may be additional fees if extensive editing is requested by the client.*
You should expect your gallery to contain between 20-40% black and white images. It honestly depends on the wedding. If you prefer one way or the other I’m happy to edit to suit your preference just make sure to let me know a head of time!
Since most wedding I photograph are intimate in nature you most likely will not require two photographers. However if you have a guest list of 150+ or you have a complicated schedule that requires photos taken in more than one place at a time or maybe you just want more variety this will be a great reason to add one.
Things like the size of your wedding party, number of guests, length of time allowed for portraits, number of locations, number of photographers, travel time between locations, etc.. all play their part in how many photos you will end up with. You can expect around 60 photos per hour of coverage. If the images are in focus, beautiful and truly tell part of the story, I include them. I will always give you more than enough images to remember this significant time in your lives!
Since I know (from personal experience) just how hard it is to wait for photos, I work double time to get them to you ASAP. You can expect a highlight gallery within 5 days of your wedding, and the final gallery between 8-10weeks later for weddings and 1 month from a session.
The only photo list I ask for is a family photos list. Having this list make sure we don’t forget anybody on the day of, big timer saver and help this go smoothly. Other than that, I don’t take any photo lists!
But that doesn't mean that you cant give me direction though! If there was a special element of the day that is unique to you, please share this information. Maybe its your grandmother getting to attend your ceremony or wanting to pop by your favorite bar for a drink before the reception or you want to recreate a photo from your parents wedding.

Yes please! I’ll eat at the same time as you and your bridal party so I’m ready to work again when the speeches and evening’s festivities begin. If possible, please seat me with your guests so that I can talk to them and learn a bit more about you guys. If this isn’t possible, no problem, I can sit wherever I fit best (I know how much of a pain seating plans are, believe me)
With unplugged ceremony you ask your guests to not take photos and be fully present in the moment with you. This is usually announced by the officiant before the ceremony begins.
In my professional opinion, photos look far better without seeing a bunch of your guest glued behind the screen. I’ve seen a lot of officiant during an unplugged ceremony allow your family and friends a minute or so to take however many photos of you before the ceremony or during paper signing.
Its entirely your choice weather or not you want to ask this of you guest during your ceremony.
The majority of weddings I shoot take place at outdoor venues. I come a live and do my best and creative work at this type of setting. However I do take on a few urban venues each year - reach out and I’ll let you know if I think my photography style would be a good fit.
Some of my favorite venues in Ottawa area : (Adelina, Evermore, Umbrella Bar, Aquatopia, cottages, camp sites, hip restaurants, the Herb Garden, Le Belvedere, Stonefields, the Knox, Cumberland Belle, Strathmere and backyard weddings.
The sooner the better, I often booked a year to 18 months in advance. Dates are booked on a first come, first served basis. I limit the number of weddings that I take each year to assure that I’ll have enough time to focus on each one individually.
September is by far the most busiest month, if you decided to have your wedding at this month don’t delay reaching out.
**I don’t take bookings more than 18 months in advance. BUT don’t hesitate to get in touch and ask for availability, even for last minute bookings.
HECK YES I DO! I’m based out of Ottawa and my standard wedding packages include 100km travel from downtown Ottawa. Additional travel is charged at $1.00/km thereafter.
I’m definitely happy to travel to wherever your wedding is taking place! Depending on the distance from Ottawa an overnight stay may be required. I have flat travel rates for Montreal, PEC, Kingston and Winnipeg.
For destination weddings outside of the listed area, a custom travel fee will be made. This includes a round flight, 2 nights accommodation and 3 days of a rental car.
