Luskville Falls is a located on the western part of Gatinue Park, a 38 minute drive from Downtown Ottawa. The trail is open for 3 season and closing during the winter months.

4.2KM loop approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes

There trail provides two lookout a fire tower and interpretation panels, providing a stunning view of the Ottawa Valley. Plus a beautiful view of the waterfall just a short hike from the parking lot(check out the picture below). The hike is steep and will take you through rock slopes of the Eardley Escarpment

Important note:

• Luskville Falls is a fragile ecological environment.
• No Dogs and other pets allowed on the Luskville Falls Trail or in the picnic areas.
• Picnic tables and barbecue are available, right next to the parking lot
• Free Parking available
• There are outhouses located at the parking lot.

Caroline reached out to me wanting to get update couple photos done. They’ve been married for over two years now and Caroline just bought a gorgeous rustic floral dress that was perfect for a photoshoot. You don’t need a special event to get your photos taken, simply getting a new dress can be reason enough in my books.

Caroline and Josh lives in the Ottawa Valley, they gladly let me know that they don’t mind driving further away. It was music to my ears to hear them say that. I excitedly started searching for a location. I’ve known about Luskville Falls for a while now, unfortunately not a lot of couple are willing to make the drive. This was the perfect opportunity.

We meet up at the parking lot and hiked up to the falls. It was such a blast meeting them both in person, Caroline smile is contagious and I love that Joshua know exactly what to say to make her laugh. We finished our shoot just in time before it started raining on us.

When visiting Luskville Falls or any parks please make sure to follow the leave no trace principle

• dispose of waste properly, throw garbage in designated bins and if a garbage bin cant be located bring your waste with you until you find one
• leave what you find, try to fight the urge to collect things to bring back home. Make sure to stay on designated paths to minimize our distraction of the park.
• respect wildlife, please do not feed wildlife. They are meant to be wild
• be considerate of others, respect other visitors experience

Leave no trace is meant to protect the land, human foot traffic can greatly change the landscape and eco system of a park. We should do our part to minimize this so that kids of the future can also enjoy the park for years to come.
