I'm a wedding photographer based in Ottawa Ontario, but travels worldwide. My photography approach is intentional, honest and editorial. An organic approach to capture fleeting moments. This blog lives to inspire your wedding photos and provide you planning tips.
Growing up, I have always dreamt of having a family cottage where everyone gathers to swim, hang out and make memories together. If you live in Ontario you know Muskoka Cottage is the go-to spot for a lot of families. Surrounded by the beauty of nature you can enjoy the area all season long.
Lee grow up going visiting his family’s Cottage at Muskoka, not only does this place hold so many childhood memories, this is where he proposed to Karla. As you scroll down there’s a photo where Lee is on his knee, this is the exact spot he How adorable is that?! at the moment of writing this Karla has given birth and they continue to go to this cottage.
Adding an element of your personality or a place that has meaning to you makes your maternity shoot just that more meaningful.
HOT TIP #1 : Its always a good idea to include your pups in your photoshoot. I know your pets are like family and what better way to capture this season of your life than include your pets along.
HOT TIP #2: Props doesn’t need to be “cheesy” for Karla and Lee’s Muskoka Cottage maternity we included a canoe, that they use all the time.

Swimming is always one of my favourite activities in the summer other than gathering around a camp fire. It’s was only fitting to jump into the lake.
Not all family owns their own cottage, a great way to get the same vibe is renting an airbnb for the weekend. You get to enjoy the perks of a fun summer getaway and have it document.
